Term Maintenance
We maintain parts of the UK’s strategic road network providing a full spectrum of maintenance services. Colas works with local authorities, National Highways and other organisations to maintain road surfacing, street lighting and more.
Our priorities are safety, fast response time, sustainability and added value for you, our clients. We consistently aim to reduce congestion and improve journey time reliability for your end users, working in partnership with you to deliver excellent customer service.
As well as Colas Local Authority Term Maintenance contracts, we have created various specialist Joint-Venture companies to deliver best-in-class maintenance for a variety of infrastructure requirements.
Traffic Management
We are a market-leading provider of traffic management throughout the UK, specialising in the design and provision of traffic management nationally for National Highways, Local Authorities, utilities and event management. Safety, best value, collaborative working and an innovative approach are at the heart of everything we do at Colas.
We have a national network of operational bases and large team of accredited experts to deliver traffic management to National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS 12A/B, C and D) 365 days a year around the clock.
As part of the International Colas Group, we are constantly innovating and improving our products and services such as the introduction of autonomous impact protection vehicles.
We provide:

- Traffic management training including NHSS accreditation
- Temporary vehicle restraint systems
- VMS signs

Innovation
